Hackathon "Design for Democracy"

June 15 and 16, 2022 - CANCELLED - We will announce the new date in due time

Creatives and developers take note: On June 15 (start at 4 pm) and 16, the creative agency for digital brand management Scholz & Volkmer will hold a hackathon in Wiesbaden. The three best works will be awarded 500 euros each.

With the support of the Creative Industries Office, NODE e.V. and the project office at the Museum Angewandte Kunst for Frankfurt RheinMain's application to become World Design Capital 2026.

WANTED:

Students and young IT professionals as well as designers!

Creatives and developers take note! Can you make our democracy shine?

Students and graduates of (media) computer science, young software developers, creative coders, data analysts and others are invited to use their skills to develop and implement innovative project ideas at the hackathon.

What is the task?

Making democracy shine:

Based on the motto "Design for Democracy. Atmospheres for a better life" of the World Design Capital application of the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main region, the hackathons are dedicated to the creative power of design and its positive influence on our society.

Because democracy cannot be taken for granted. It thrives on the involvement of society, on participation, on taking part. But this also means that democracy only works if many people participate and become active.

Scholz & Volkmer provides all participants with an LED wall (220 cm x 366 cm) with which democracy can be made to shine. Creative ideas from designers, coders and others are needed here!

THAT'S WHAT YOU CAN WIN:

The three best works will be awarded 500 euros each.

In addition, all registered participants* will have 24 hours of time, delicious food, good drinks and a very bright display (see picture gallery) in the middle of Wiesbaden to work on their ideas!

Participate

Interested parties can register, gladly also in teams of 2 or 3, by mail to hackathon@s-v.de. Deadline for registration is Monday, June 13, 2022.

More information about the schedule will follow by mail!
